Hitendra Chaturvedi

Hitendra Chaturvedi joins us after a successful exit from GreenDust, a trailblazing reverse logistics start-up he founded in India. Backed by top-tier venture capital, including Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, GreenDust became a pioneering force in sustainable retail and e-commerce, leaving behind a lasting legacy in India’s startup ecosystem.

A computer engineer from IIT Roorkee with an MS and MBA from the U.S., Hitendra launched his career in 1995 with consulting giants Ernst & Young and Kearney, before making the leap to Microsoft in Seattle. After several impactful years there, the pull of entrepreneurship led him to launch GreenDust and dive headfirst into building one of India’s most innovative circular economy ventures.

Today, Hitendra is not only a respected academic and award-winning educator (recipient of the John W. Teets Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award), but also a sought-after speaker, published author, and advisor to multiple startups. His insights on global supply chains, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and AI are regularly featured in top media outlets and conferences.  Apart from teaching, Hitendra wear a few other hats including Special Advisor to the Dean on Entrepreneurial Strategy, Faculty Director MS Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MS-EI), Director of Small & Medium Business (SMB) Lab, Vice President, Global Manufacturing Research Group (GMRG), Faculty Affiliate, Walton Sustainability Program, Co-Chair,  West Valley Regional Chamber Logistics & Supply Chain Committee, and Core Member Arizona Venture Alliance (AVA).

Outside the classroom, Hitendra lives life with unfiltered curiosity—he’s a licensed pilot, a winemaker, artist, scuba diver, motorcycle enthusiast, and global traveler. But above all, he values time spent with family—and living every moment to the fullest.
